Hi experts
Last week I asked if there is any possibility to synchronize the time
of our OSF/1 machines to the clock of our VMS cluster.
The solution seems to be that we set up our VMS cluster as a ntp server. NTP is a TCP/IP time synchronization protocol which is included in several
different third party TCP/IP products for VMS.
I knew that ntp can be used in UNIX environments, but had no idea that NTP also
can be used on a VAX. So I will try to implement this ntp/xntp (well me ->
our VMS crack).
Another proposal was, that we could sync with Internet NTP or put a DCF77
in a Linux and serve ntp from there.
