creating a new system disk

I need to move my current rz25l system disk to a different 1.0 Gb system
disk. I have copied everything over there, but I get:

"can't find osf_boot" or some such error message. How do I go about
getting this disk bootable? Docs would be nice to read if I had any.
Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks.
