SUMMARY:Ports on the 3000/500 (or 600)

Greetings:

Thanks to all who replied to my question concerning the ports on the
3000/600 (sorry about the fact that I said 500 in the subject line but
they are the same in this respect anyway).

The original question was whether the 25-pin port on the back of the
3000/600 was a parallel port or a serial port in disguise.

Answer: it's serial. No parallel ports of any kind on those 3000 models
(bummer).
