I was told someone at this address might be able to help me out. I tried
without any success to get INN compiled on osf/1 3.xx and finally decided
to mirror a copy installed on osf/1 2.xx that someone had allready
installed. I went through all the files very carefully and made sure all
the permissions were set right. Furthermore I edited newsfeeds, and the
ctl files, as well as the hosts files so that the 2.xx box would feed the
3.xx box news.
My problem is that innd (when run though rc.news or any other method I
can think of) just exits. This is on the 3.xx box. It does not write
anything to the log files so I don't even know where to begin to trouble
shooting the problem. I've tried everything I can think of. Am I missing
something obvious?
BTW this is the main problem I was having with compiling INN (though
mirroring it would be easier than compiling it)
waitnb.c: In function `waitnb':
waitnb.c:25: storage size of `w' isn't known
*** Exit 1
Stop.

Please respond to me not the list as I am not on the list (though I
should get on it). thanks again
