Folks,
My original question:

A number of people were interested in anything I learned but
unfortunately there were no new directions for me to try.
The importance of swap and memory sizes on the application servers and
the disks/controllers layout on the DB server was emphasised.
It was also pointed out that Oracle 7.1.6 includes very large memory
(VLM) support with big oracle blocks (BOB) for faster disk I/O access.
This may be a direction for the future.
