Dear Managers,
Configuration: DEC UNIX v3.2a, PrintServer Software for OSF/1 AXP v5.0,
LPS17/600, LPD.
I "lpr" a job to LPS17, and then decided to "lprm" job. "lprm" removed
the job from the system current print queue, BUT LPS17 apparently already
got the hold of the file and continue printing the un-wanted file.
According to PrintServer SW doc, I use "lpsrc" to "abort" the job from the
printer, BUT it never works for me, even though the message indicated that it
has been interrupted. I've included the steps and the message below. My
current work-around is to reboot LPS17 every time someone send a bad job to
the printer. Booting LPS17 is not speedy as turning the printer off and
on (5-10mins).
# lpsrc lps17
PrintServer 17/600 (lps17) Privs Enabled Idle

LPS> abort 255
Aborting job 255

Q3: Any recommendation??
TIA
