    Hi folks,

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear :(. The update (running make) works
but I have to MANUALLY run it whenever a user change their password on
the OSF/1 workstations. What I'm looking for is a method to automate
the updating. I thought the ypxfr programs would be the way to go but
from what I gather they should run on the clients and that doesn't
work. The files the scripts look for isn't in the yp directories on
the workstations. I do have the YP password daemon running on the
    DEC 5000 system.

I recently been awarded an "opportunity" to manage an DEC 5000/200
system running Ultrix 4.4. The 5000 is my Yellow Page server (there is
only one domain) and I have several DEC 3000/300 Alpha systems running
    OSF/1 V2.0 as clients.

Is there a method to automatically update the YP server when a
workstation user changes their password on their system. Does the user
have to log onto the Ultrix system and change their password?

I've been running "make" and the updated passwd file is pushed to the
YP clients. I don't see how I can modify the ypfxr files to
    automatically update the workstations.

Your help is appreciated and I will summarize!!!! THanks!
