The Performance Data Collector (pmd) will not function after I upgraded from
Digital UNIX 3.2A to Digital UNIX 3.2C. I was running version 1.40 so I
upgraded to version 1.41 but it made no difference. The following is the
error reported in /var/opt/fullsail/PM/log/pmd.log:
        Tue Aug 29 11:00:12 MDT 1995|lib2.byu.edu||root (bkh)
          error|DC_ERROR_NLIST_INVALID_NAME|dc_private_seek1.c|line 1841
          Kernel namelist name not valid: _vm_page_wire_count
Judging from the error, I would assume that some kernel hook no longer
exists. Has anyone else come across this error. I compared my old kernel
configuration file with the new one and added the items that the upgrade
removed but again no change.
The following is what has been installed according to setld:
PYABASE141 installed PYPM Base, DEC OSF/1
PYADMNS141 installed PYPM Data Collector, DEC OSF/1
PYADOC141 installed PYPM Install Guide, DEC OSF/1
PYAMAN141 installed PYPM Reference Pages, DEC OSF/1
PYAPM141 installed PYPM Performance Mon, DEC OSF/1
PYARI141        installed       PYPM Remote-Install, DEC OSF/1
