Clock Card Driver

Hi,

I am working on an Alpha 2100 -- Digital Unix machine. Inside it is
a non-digital clock card. How do I go about getting the Alpha to see this
card? How do I add it as a device? Do I use the MAKEDEV command? Once I have
it as a device can I go out and read an address off of it? That is, all I want
to do is be able to read the time off of this card. So can I do an "open address"
or do I need to create a driver? I apologize for asking so many and general
questions, but I have had no experince in writing a driver for Digital-Unix, any. Any
an all ideas -- suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance,

kim
