I am afraid the details of my problem are pretty sketchy. I don't have
the priveleges to investigate the problem fully.

We are attempting to set up our mail environment to allow sending mail
from Allin1 on VAXes to the UNIX environment and back. We can send mail
to our NCR (AT&T) SVR4 machines. Unfortunately I only have root access
to DEC-UNIX machines that are in a different DNS domain (and the mail
don't get through).

When the mail gets to the System V environment it's return address is
listed as
             "Greg W Bell"_at_coles.com.au

This return address doesn't get through the SVR4 mailsurr processing,
apparently due to the spaces in "Greg W Bell" and the quotes appear to
get stripped.

   1) Is this a legitimate adress in the SMTP, UNIX, etc. environment?

   2) Would DEC UNIX cope with this addressing format?

   3) What would all you experts recommend in a heterogenous mail
environment (SVR4, DEC UNIX, Allin1, VMSmail, Microsoft EXCHANGE <- soon?)

   4) Do any of you have experience with a satisfactory solution or some
      words of wisdom

   Thanks in advance,
                     Greg
