limit on size of print jobs?

Dear OSF managers,

Just had an application submit a 12MB print job and had it fail with a
"copy file too large" error from lpr. Checked through the man pages
and can't see a limit anywhere. Could some kind soul please point me
in the direction of what I need to tweak to raise the limit.
