To recap:
>I've just upgraded an Alpha with a local printer from 1.3a to 3.0, (3.2c
>another day!), and now all the other Alphas in my department (already at
>3.0) can no longer print to it.
And the solution was to make sure the names of the Alphas wanting to
print on the local printer are in the /etc/hosts.lpd file of the machine
with the local printer. For some reason an empty /etc/hosts.lpd worked fine
under 1.3a, but 3.0 is much more strict.
Thank you one and all!
