How silly of me was to delete my licence!
My original question:
can anyone help me in this trouble? I have Alphaserver 2000 4/200.
I deleted OSF-BASE-IMPLICIT-USER 2 user licence! How can I restore this
licence? I do not have it printed. I only have System Licence OSF-BASE,
but registering and loading it does not help.
Responses:
There are three methods of recovering this licence:
1. Reinstall from scratch (Oh, No!)
2. Execute script /sbin/it.d/bin/twouser
3. Restore /var/adm/lmf/ldb from backup.
Resetting lmf after loading OSF-BASE was not helpful.
I also received a copy of this licence (thanks).
In fact I browsed through /var/adm/lmf/ldb_history (the binary file) and
found a string that looked similar to Licence Checksum.
I produced licence file (from template) using this Checksum. After some
manipulation of options, number of units, etc I got the proper licence for
OSF-BASE-IMPLICIT-USER. Registering, loading, resetting ... and I still
have my licence. Uff.
Thanks a lot
