Hello everybody,
I have a simple (?) problem that I need to solve quickly.
I recently got a new fast and wide differential SCSI controller,
a turbo channel card of the type KZTSA-AA. I have installed it
in turbo channel slot 1 in my DEC 3000/400 workstation running
DEC OSF/1 V3.2. It has the default (factory setting) SCSI id = 7.
I have connected two 4.5 GB disks to the new SCSI bus with SCSI
id:s 1 and 2. In console mode I have tested the new card (t tc1 pst-t)
and it lists the two drives as dka0100 and dka0200. Everything seems ok
so far. Then I boot up the system and try to do /dev/MAKEDEV but here
is where I get stuck. I do not know what the disk are called, rznn,
I guess, but which nn? I have tried with rz17 and rz18 without success.
Do I need to change some system configuration files in order to see
the new tc card? I have tried to read man pages about rz, SCSI, etc.
but I cannot find out what to do.
Johan Nyberg.
