As I expected, the masterful minds come through once more. The answer to my
research question is that DEC's documentation IMHO falls a bit short in just
dropping reference to the AXP150 inthe "Firmware Release Notes Overview". Had I
pursued the issue a bit further, I would have found that it continues to be
referenced in the DEC2000 Firmware release notes, and indeed, this is the firmware
I need. looking at the Alpha Systems Firmware Update CD, dated August 1995,
V3.3, part number AG-PTMWQ-BE, (mounted with -o noversion) and reading file
/cdrom/doc/dec2000_v19_fw_relnote.ps, I see in table 1 that firmware rev 1.9 is
requred to support Digital UNIX 3.2C (FW rev 1.8 is shown good up to Dunix
3.2).
Unfortunately, I have a further problem that DEC CSC came through quite well
on. When trying to boot the CD I gett he error sequence
aha_check_firmware: unsupported firmware rev
firmware rev found is G.1 minimum rev required is G.2
panic: unsupported firmware rev on SCSI card
This apparently requires a chip upgrade in the system, and I have placed a
hardware call to have field service do so.

My original request: (with a couple typo corrections)
Having been charged with taking an AlphaPC 150 that was running ini the NT world
and installing OSF/1 on it, I turn to the masterful minds of this list for advice.
Looking at the Firmware release Notes Overview, I see in the v2.7 notes and v2.8
notes references to the DECpc AXP/150. I believe these firmware CD's came with
OSF versions 2.0 & v2.1. Reading the same manual for firmware release v2.9
and up however, I see the references to the AXP/150 are dropped.
My question is, is the Alpha PC150 supported under OSF v3.2C, and if so which
firmware do I boot. If not, what is the last version of OSF I can put on the
AXP/150.

When a 150 runs unix, it miraculously becomes known as a model 2000/300...
Anyway, if this doesn't shed any light, we are running OSF/1 v3.0 on ours, but
I can't tell what the firmware revision is, offhand.

you need version 1.8 of the firmware coming from Firmware CD :
DEC2000_V1_8.SYS;1. You need also the ECU diskette version 1.8.
