SUMMARY: Processor Corrected Machine Checks

In response to my inquiry:

Has anyone experienced Machine Check errors that are "corrected by the processor"?
If so what might the general cause of such errors be? The general symptoms are
that approximately 18 hours after boot, the following syslog messages appear:

"vmunix: WARNING: too many processor corrected errors. Reporting suspended."
"vmunix: Machine Check error corrected by processor"

Some responded that they have seen the same error but things continue
to run fine. Others report that they were able to track it to the memory
that they were using. DEC reports that the message combination would be
logged after the 4th processor corrected error and that in my case these
might be parity errors.
