Warning messages from dump & restore

Hello All,

The following dump and restore expression produces warning messages:
        dump -0f - /|(cd /mnt;restore -Y -xf -)

Warning messages such as "File exists", "cannot create special file",
"cannot create symbolic link", and "cannot create hard link".

I guess warning messages are not that serious, but does it mean that
the files are not copied from / to /mnt?

Does anyone know why the expression above produces warning messages,
and is it normal?

Thanks in advance
