dxbook problems printing to a file

Hi managers,

  We have a alpha 2000 axp server 300 osf 3.0
  I am trying to print a whole document with the dxbook utility
  to a file instead of the printer.
  The problem is that it hangs up before writing it down.
  Then size of the .decw_book file is 684706 bytes and there is no
  problem with disk space.

  Any clues?,
