[Q] tcsh 6.05, 6.06, csh, GNU C configure Memory faults

Hello all,

        I have recently upgraded (?) my tcsh to 6.06 and noticed that
GNU's configure program for gcc stops working giving some fab. "Memory
fault" errors. Thinking it was the shell I went on to using plain csh
and I still get:

Merged alpha/x-alpha.
./configure: 17001 Memory fault
Merged c++ fragment(s).
./configure: 17079 Memory fault
Created `./Makefile'.
Merged alpha/x-alpha.
./configure: 17165 Memory fault

Not quite what I want. I have OSF/1 3.2c running on DEC 3000s. It
seems to work only using sh as my shell.
Has anyone else seen this? Will of course summarise.

Ciao,

        Arrigo
