Hot swap subsystems

Greetings,

Does anyone have experience with hot-swap SCSI disk subsystems,
particularly with respect to Turbochannel AXP's?

We are about to purchase a JMR 16GBSSHS which holds 4 Seagate ST1523N's,
and will attach it to an AXP 3000/300X.

The VAR says that a computer will see it as a regular SCSI chain.
Though VAR's can always be trusted to speak the Absolute Truth,
I was wondering if anyone has first-hand experience.

Regards
