SUMMARY: Xemacs 19.13 and OSF/1 3.2c

Hello all,

unfortunately most of the replies mistook Xemacs 19.13 for GNU
Emacs 19.x which is a separate version of the editor. They are
fundamentally similar but differ in the X interface which is prettier
in the Xemacs version. Xemacs is not endorsed by GNU although it is
GPL'd, in fact there have been vicious flame wars between the Xemacs
(formerly Lucid Emacs) and GNU Emacs developers.

Most suggested switching to GNU Emacs, I have 19.30 installed
but my users require (and request continuously) Xemacs, thanks to all
those who went to the trouble of sending me pointers to GNU mirror
sites...

Useful replies pointed out that Xemacs 19.13 compiled with gcc
2.6.3 under 3.2 (_not_ 3.2c) appears to work fine although noone
mentioned emacs-lisp hacking... It seems that the local lisp which
works under Suns will not work under OSF/1 and this might be an Xemacs
bug.
