Greetings all:
A silly co-worker of mine was adding a disk to a machine last night and
got everything all set (so he supposed) and then rebooted - except he
forgot to create the mount point directory. The problem is that the
fstab file wants to mount the new disk to a mount point that does not
exist. Digital Unix will not complete the boot process without the
mount point. We can boot single-user but from this mode we are unable
to create a mount point since it is a "read-only" mode. We've tried
booting from the CDROM and changing the fstab file but we cannot mount
the "/" partition (any other partition, yes, but the boot partion, no).
Suggestions?? Any help would be most appreciated!!
Regards,
Cary
