rcp, C2 and umask don't mix...

I want to rcp files from another system to my alpha running V3.2c with C2
enabled. What's happening is that the files are coming in with umask set to
077, and I need the files to be group and world readable. Putting umask in the
.profile (ksh) file for the user on the alpha doesn't seem to help. How can I
get rcp to copy with the umask I want?
