I had asked about a cryptic note pertaining to a power
management problem with Rev 0007 of the RZ29B firmware.
The note mentioned a specific bit that could be changed
if the Rev 0007 firware was used. Conclusion: upgrade
to the Rev 0014 firware. Despite the non sequential
jump, there are no Rev 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13 versions
so if you have Rev 0007 you are only one back. You can
check your rev level with SCU:
scu>
scu> set nexus bus 1 target 1 lun 0
scu> show device
scu> ........
Rev 0014 is the current firware rev level, local field
service can install it, and it is installed with the
SCU utility. Be sure the back up your drives first
and insure that the process is not interrupted or the
drives will have to be shipped back to be re-enabled.
