Possible Solutions provided
1. replace the login program with something like logdaemon.
2. install tcp_wrappers available at ftp.win.tue.nl:/pub/security
current version 7.2 provides better logging capabilities and
the most flexible solution.
3. add default entry to /etc/gettydefs
#
default#B9600#9600# %v(%h)\r\n\r\n Your Message Here \r\n \
\
\r\n#default
- the first "NON # line" must be a space, then the "default#" entry
- the TOTAL length of the line (default# to #default) is 255 characters,
not just the message text
4. For xdm, modify the dxlogin.greeting and dxlogin.greeting2 resources
in /usr/lib/X11/xdm/Xresources. For CDE, change the Dtlogin*greeting.??
resources in /usr/dt/config/C/Xresources.
