Hi,
I have an interesting problem. The scheme is as follows here :
-------------- | my PC ( a linux ) 155.223.7.56 |
|
-------
router |---------------| bornova = fza0 = 155.223.64.1 | ------| Other WSs |
------ cankaya = ln0 = 155.223.80.1
Here, bornova machine have a fza0 FDDI card and behaves as a router
between 155.223.80.* and 155.223.64.* networks ( cankaya=ln0=155.223.80.1 )
Other WS's have 155.223.80.x IPs sequentially.
Until last week everything was fine. But now I have a strange
problem. When I rlogin ( other people has reported it has occured when
connected via X emulation ) to bornova, I run normally for a while but
then sudenly (I have not find any regular thing or time ) bornova "froze"!
I mean I can't do any thing at the window thats connected to bornova.
Everything stops. This goes about ~ 0.5-3 min. Even I can't close
connection. But this is half of the story ( it has occured while writing
this mail now ! :( ). When bornova froze I *can* telnet to cankaya
( which is at the same machine but different interface ) or other WSs.
But I *can't* ping to bornova from my PC. ! ( but *can* to cankaya ! )
Interestingly , when I telnet to a machine which is 155.223.64.* network
and telnet to bornova it *works* ! Unfortunately I did not solve and
understand this problem. Do you have any suggestions about that ? As you
can guess this is a fairly unplesant thing. By the way I use routed .
Sincerely.
murat.
