Hi,
We have implemented C2 security with NIS an have noticed some issues:
When we installed the system we setup BASE security first, then NIS , then
switched to ENHANCED last. It seems that the secsetup script creates
/tcb/files/auth/a-z/username files during the conversion process from BASE
to ENHANCED but when trying to login as a user afterwards, authentication of
the user fails. I have found that if the /tcb/files/auth/a-z/username file
is mv 'ed or deleted then the user can log in. The documentation supplied
does not throw any light on the process of authentication with respect of
these auth files. Could anyone enlighten me on how the auth files are meant
to work and/or tell me how to correctly implement C2 auth files?
