At the beginning of the month I posted a question about the Polycenter
Performance Advisor Data Collector stopping randomly.
Several people responded quickly to say that this was a known problem, and
that I needed a later version of the product. Since I didn't have anything
later than 3.0 on my CDs, I called the support centre, who also recognised the
problem and said that I needed 3.0a.
The remaining time has been spent waiting for them to actually send me a copy.
They have now done so; the patch ID is SPC.27542, and it contains a complete
new version of the Data Collector.
It seems to work fine.
