mpeg_play 2.0 (available from toe.cs.berkeley.edu) works for MPEG format
movies under OSF/1. There is another program, xanim, that can do AVI
format movies, but I haven't tried compiling it under OSF/1.

If you can get the Digital Unix CD called "Multimedia Showcase" Reference
qb-4w4aa-wa you'll have on it all the products for Digital Unix and you are
able to install them very easily.
