Dear Gurus,
My question was: how can I "debinhex" a "binhexed" file under Unix?
The overwhelming answer was: use mcvert
~~~~~~
I fetched mcvert-216.shar from a nearby mirror (ftp.ibp.fr) and made it
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
without any problem. It works just fine.
Apparently, mcvert is available from a great many number of sites. Archie
or Yahoo will point to your nearest site.
Note: DON'T fetch mcvert-1.5: it will compile but not link because of
ftime().
Also: Istvan Csaky recommended a set of tools called macutils, available
from sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/utils/compress and many others.
My thanks to:
Brian Sheean, Anthony D'Atri, Istvan Csaky, Radu Duta, Alain Berguerand,
Paul Sand, Christian Kurth, Hans Liss, Erick Bizouarn, Geert Jan Bex and
Christophe Colle.
