SUMMARY:TLZ07 really 8GB ?

My original question was:

 Actually, i've not tried to certify that TLZ07 can contain up to 8GB. If so, what commands/qualifiers should i use to backup 8GB ?

The 8GB capacity depends on the compression system built into the tape drive unit. This 8GB figure assumes that you can get 2 to 1 compression average. Therefore the issue is that you have a tape which can store 4GB raw data, and much more with compression.
If you use the device name /dev/rmt0h (default) it indicates that compression is activated
On the other hand, /dev/rmt0a accesses the tape at the raw level (no compression)
