General feeling on this one was use mailx or Mail (they're hard linked,
btw). So I dropped a copy if it in the path of the db monitor, prior to
/usr/bin and we'll see what happens.

wow... i new the list was good, but here's who i heard from... THANKS!

I'm running a database monitor package (UniVison) on V3.0. The package
wants to do mail notification on certain conditions of certain table
spaces. The package thinks it's sending mail. What it's actually doing
is generating the following error:

usage: binmail [-epqbhr] [-f file]
    or binmail [-d] [-r name] [-h N] user ...

which I can duplicate by issuing:

mail -s text username

ok.. so mail/binmail on DU doesn't support the -s qualifier like SunOS...
is there a workaround/patched version/pd version that does support -s
that I can run on DU?

Thanks

Jim
