OK, according to Kathy Becker's Summary, one of the problems to be fixed
is the inability to set the date to 2/29.
Well, I installed the patch and still can't set the date to 2/29, so I
guess I did something wrong - here's the steps I took:
1) The machine is running 3.0, so I used v30 files
2) I replaced /sys/BINARY/clock.o with the patch clock.o file
3) I replaced /sbin/date with the patch date file
4) I replaced /vmunix with /genvmunix and rebooted
5) I shutdown to single user mode
6) I mounted /usr
7) I ran doconfig (using the current name of the host and replacing
the current config file)
8) I moved the new kernel to /vmunix and rebooted
I still could not set the date to 2/29.
Can somebody tell me what I did wrong?
Mike
