    Hi to everyone,
This is a summary of the responses I received for the query I sent
out.
First a special thanks to all who responded to me

   To Summarize:
      Pros for ADVFS
      1. Patch available for quota on 3.2a
However upgrading to 3.2d-1 has fixed this problem with quota
         and other ADVFS bugs .
      2. Forgetting FSCK's seems to be great
      3. Very flexible -easy to grow fs size, add/remove disks on live
        systems, improving data availability
      4. faster backups/restores
      5. Hopefully Digital will put emphasis on correcting
the ADVFS bugs quickly and accurately

  Cons:
      1. Advfs is not an SMP product, experience ahard load on CPU0(if
         you have two procesors)
      2. Lots of bug fixes at the moment

One user had to turn back to ufs on one of his systems running
ADVFS on a Pathworks Server. 3,2 of OSF .
He experienced corrupted files , disappearing directories,
non-repairable files . Digital suggested "that not all disk
manufacturersare supporting the SCSI specifications" .
As a result they resorted back to ufs.

Most of the other responses supported the ADVFS.
Some however did not implement quota at their sites.
Another ran quota but without the -a option on vquotacheck and
     vquota on.

I must mention here however, that on Friday last I installed a
patch from digital (both advfs and nfs). So far , quota seems
to be working but it is still being monitored.
Dos users have encountered some setbacks because they may be
near their qota limit, but after their deletes , it appears that
their quota seems to be read accurately.
I was also taken aback when one user suggested running vquotacheck
one a day. We never do this , only on reboot. (with exceptions
     when were discovered the corruption)
