another two things....

     Hello again,

I have a couple more issues that need to be resolved - I'd be grateful
     for any help,

first off, I am configuring an HPLaserJet4 with the JetDirect MIO card
in. Using straight remote LPD printing nothing fancy. I also have a
load of NOV*IX queues. (NOV*IX is a LPD/Netware gateway). The Novix
Q's work fine, no problems with them but the JetDirect Q just messes
up. Either it tries to get all the text on one line or it just prints
everything down one column on the right of the page.

     Here is my /etc/printcap entry

        # TEST JET DIRECT PRINTER
        jetdirect|lp29:\
                :lf=/usr/adm/lp29err:\
                :lp=:\
                :rm=woki_misjetdir:\
                :rp=text:\
                :sd=/usr/spool/lpd29:

I am printing straight text, no graphics, postscript, troff etc. I
have tried putting raw in the rp field, I have also left it blank.

Am I missing any fields from the entry, are there any tweaks i need on
     the lpr command?

Secondly when I looked at the date on my system, it had lost a day. I
went single user, changed the data and rebooted. it had lost a day
again. I set the date to tommorow and rebooted and it came up as
today. Strange huh? Has anyone seen this. I assume it is something to
     do with the leap year.

     All the best
     Iain
