dtlogin & xauth problem, 3.2c

All-

Perhaps I've got something configured wrong or I missed a note about this in
some release notes somewhere, but under Digital Unix 3.2c with the CDE*350
kits installed per-user display authentication (the MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE method)
doesn't seem to be very useful/functional:

1) something (I'm assuming it's dtlogin) leaves `trash' of the form

        Illegal Address:0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 <cookie here>

and

        (null)::0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 <cookie here>

in my .Xauthority.

2) the same cookie is always used, and it's not exactly hard to guess.

Assuming that it's not me that has something screwed up, can anyone who has
access to Digital Unix 4.0 verify that this problem is no longer present?

Tim
