Hi,
A few days ago I asked :

-- o --

I want to make small changes at login program. How can I find the login.c
program used by DU ? ( or is it available ? )
Sincerely.

in short alan_at_nabeth.cxo.dec.com has said :

You can probably get the Digital UNIX version of login
by buying a UNIX source license and then the source
distribution. Source licenses for educational institutions
may be less then for businesses. I think the Software
Product Description includes part number for the sources
and there may be one to get the source license as well.

You can probably find a free version of login, but it may
        not work.

Even if you modify the source distribution version, you
do so at your own risk. Digital typically doesn't support
        customer changes to our code.

and Stam Nicolis <nicolis_at_chiral.phys.univ-tours.fr> has said :

Hi,
no it's not (unless you've a license to DU source code :) ). But you
don't need it. You just need to play around with .login, /etc/inittab,
/etc/gettyfs, .xsession, and/or the /usr/lib/X11/xdm files, depending
on what you want to configure.

best regards
Stam
