Hello,

I would like to thank Thomas Erskine (tom_at_clark.dgim.doc.ca) and
Jason Yanowitz (yanowitz_at_mcet.edu) for the perl scripts they had sent me.
These scripts implement mechanisms similar to idled for logging off
inactive users after some predefined elapsed time.
I have not tried them yet but I am afraid they won't end the user's
Xsession so the workstation will not be correctly freed.

Don Newcomer (newcomer_at_dickinson.edu) recommends Logmon from Computronics
(info_at_computron.com).

Fergal Mc Carthy (fergal_at_ilo.dec.com) mentions about xautolock:
>Checkout the xautolock utility; it allows you configure a
>'lock' program to be called if the X display is idle for anything from
>1 minute to 1 hour.

Thank you all,
