Hi,
We have a Dec Alpha 2000 4/233 Server with two TLZ07 DAT tape drives one
connected to the internal SCSI bus the other attached a second SCSI bus
(external tape drive).

We have noticed that when using the internal SCSI tape the effect on system
performance is much higher than that of the external tape drive on the
second SCSI Bus.

Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Would moving the internal tape drive to the second SCSI bus improve the
performance of the server during tape operations?

I believe we would need another internal cable in order to achieve this.

Regards,
