HI
As usual, the speed of the list is impressive. The question was: how to move data from AT&T 34xx to DU ? I've been trying to move it via cpio, with frustrating results.
Many thnx to:

Amr Galal F.Ahmed
Ben van Scheppingen

Boris suggested to use the "-C 512" option, we already used it, no luck
Ben told us that he had an experience copying data from a 3555 to DU, instead of cpio, they used tar. Unfortunely, the tar command on the AT&T we are working on is not multivolume, and we need it.
Ahmed suggests to use gnu cpio, as long as he had the same problem with NCR cpio tape, for which gnu cpio worked just fine. We're attempting to make it works, but we had some problem while compilating the code on DU 3.2C.....still working............

Regards
