SUMMARY: User quotas not working?

Thanks to the people who contacted me. I won't include every reply, since
several said basically the same thing...

Several things came up:

        - Patches for 3.2A and 3.2C (OSF350-094 OSF350-106 for 3.2C)

        - Use of rq

        - Some changes in upgrades to 3.2D.

I'm beginning to think the latter is the cause. I upgraded to 3.2D at the
end of February - maybe the students just never noticed they could exceed
quotas...:^)

I inspected my /sbin/init.d files, and to my amazement, vquotaon WAS NEVER
RUN - nor was vquotacheck. The UFS versions only were run...I don't see
where any recent changes were made, but I KNOW my quotas worked before...
:^(

On the "rq"...the man page for fstab does say that "rq" is for "read/write
with quotas". Last time I checked, it had no effect (when I first set up
quotas - AdvFS or UFS - they didn't work), and instead used "userquota",
which did work.

So, I copied /sbin/init.d/quota to vquota, made the changes, linked it in
rc3.d, and all seems to be well.
