Hi all,
I am trying to setup up a TZ87 external tape drive to my AlphaStation 600 5/266,
running DU 3.2d.
When I power on the system with the tape drive connected and powered on the boot
fails with a long message containing, but not limited to the following lines:
SERR detected on the PCI
Unexpected interrupt through vector 66
Warning -- HWRPB is invalid
Now, if I disconnect the tape drive, boot the system up, halt it, reconnect the
tape drive and power it on, perform an init, it does not fail and I see the
device when I type show dev.
I hooked the tape drive to a different AlphaStation 5/333, powered everything on
and the system booted fine (I tried it twice just to be sure).
I was wondering if anyone had seen this problem before and/or could offer any
suggestions.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Nicci
