Disc won't mount

My DEC 3000 workstation crashed over the weekend and
on reboot, one file system will not remount. My fsatb file
looks like this
/dev/rz2a / ufs rw 1 1
/proc /proc procfs rw 0 0
/dev/rz2g /usr ufs rw 1 2
/dev/rz2b swap1 ufs sw 0 2
/dev/rz3c /usr/users ufs rw 1 2
/dev/rz4c /usr/freeware cdfs ro,nodefperm 0 0
/dev/rz2h /BACKUP ufs rw 1 2

/dev/rz3c does not mount on booting. Using fsck or mount
and I get an I/O error

Any advice would be much appreciated.
