Hi all,
we are running DEC4000/620 (1xFDDI,1xEth) and we discovered VERY
strange problem with rlogin communication (PC <-> DEC). All works fine,
but from time to time some PC client are unable to establish TCP connection.
This problem is:
- specific to only this client (another rlogin communication
works fine at same time).
- 'semi' deterministic - once happens we are able to repeat many times
- IP address specific - changing of client's IP address helps
We try to collect network data from network analyzer. There are results:
OK connection:
PC->DEC
TCP D=513 S=742 SYN, SEQ=xxx .....
DEC->PC
TCP D=742 S=513 SYN,ACK=xxx+1 ...
PC->DEC
TCP D=513 S=742 ACK etc.
bad connection:
PC->DEC
TCP D=513 S=742 SYN, SEQ=xxx .....
DEC->PC
TCP D=742 S=513 ACK =yyyy ...
^^^^^^^^^^\
:-((
etc.
Could someone give me any suggestion what could be wrong or how to debug
incoming TCP connections at DEC site??
Thank you very much in advance for any help or suggestion!!
Best regards,
Lubos
