I should pay more attention....

Someone recently had an issue with xbiff resetting itself on an Alpha,
before the new mail was read. I have recently been moved to an alpha for
mail service, and have the same problem. Would the person who asked that
question before be kind enough to send me e-mail if a solution was offered?

The man page didn't seem to hold any magic clues.
