Dial-in setup problem.

Hi All,
        I have a alpha 3000-300 with DU 3.2 ( b or c ), and I have checked the
        inittab, Devices files and all appears ok. I can dial-out ok, but when I dial-in
        to the machine, the modems connect, but am not getting a login prompt.

 /etc/inittab line is ;
                        u1:23:respawn:/usr/lib/uucp/uugetty -r -t 30 ttyd0 9600 # UUCP

Devices file is ;
                        ACU ttyd0 - 9600 hayes

        I have deleted and re-created the device files for the serial i/face ( scc0 ), but
        still no go.
