Speedy Reads

All,
I have 3 HSZ-40's and a bunch of RZ29B-VA (4GB) drives on them. I can
only write and read at a sustained 2.2MB/s to the drives, even though
they are striped (5 disks per set). If I used LVM to stripe across
controllers, could I get that number up to 6.6 MB/s? Or is there anything
I can do to get this number higher? I have cache turned on, and it seems
that the drives just peter out at 2.2-3MB/s sustained read. If I could
even get this up to 3MB/s sustained, I would be thrilled.
Ry

Summary on my previous two postings to follow soon, not everything is
resolved.
