I have successfully used Netscape to compile. Take a look at

        http://www.javaworld.com/javatips/jw-javatip2.html

Unfortunately, no one seems to be able to make Netscape run java
applications as described in these tips.

Yup, its available from Digital's Web site, under the AltaVista area. Only
problem I've found so far is that it dies on 24 bit displays.
