Monitor Utility Output

I am using the monitor utility to collect data on our Alpha 3000/400
running OSF/1 v3.2. I am trying to determine if we could use more
physical memory. We currently have 64MB installed and a 512MB swap
space. Here is some output from the mon_memory filter that came with
the monitor utility :

                Memory type Minimium Average Maximium

        Free memory 0.11% 12.46% 57.40%
        Active Virtual Memory 10.19% 51.01% 68.26%
        Inactive virtual memory 0.00% 3.76% 42.41%
        Wired Memory 16.47% 18.73% 20.75%

First of all, what does this tell me, if anything, about our memory
situation? Are we swapping a lot? Will more memory help
performance? What is the meaning of each type of memory in the list?
Does having an average active virtual memory value of 50% mean we
are using, on average, half of our swap space and thus swapping a
lot? As you can tell, I am confused. Any help would be great.

Thanks for any help...
Brad
