Hostname change after bindsetup

Hello Admins...

We've got systems running OSF/1 2.1 and DU 3.2D at our site.

After running bindsetup on them to set up a primary and caching
nameservers, the hostnames on the systems changed from just the
system name to the full Internet name (i.e. odo changed to odo.msoe.edu).
This shows up when a "hostname" or "uname -n" is done.

Is there any way to reset this back to just the system name? We tried
changing /etc/rc.config, but it changed it back on the next reboot.

Any suggestions?
